Halloween

Well I was going to write about how I am still searching for the perfect Halloween costume, but the weather has caught my attention today…and well it made me realize how unprepared I am for Winter..AAHHHH!!          

Things I realized I need for winter: 

1. A new Snowbrush!
2. A few new (better quality) pairs of gloves…all the “cute” gloves I bought last year are not holding up!
3. I need to find where I threw my Columbia boots last Spring..Ugg boats are warm but not H20 resistant as I found out today!
4. and finally a shovel..I know if I don’t have it this winter..I am going to need it (Thank you Murphy’s Law)

Thanks Mother Nature for the warning shot! on a lighter note I can get the ski’s and snowboard out of the basement…woot ; )

Decisions and plans!

So it’s about time for a new pedicure. I was wondering what ya’ll thought about designs vs plain, red vs french? If you know what I’m talking about please let me know.

Tell me what color and design to put on my toes. I know, who cares right?

Just thought I’d ask. Hope your summer is going ok.

I’m getting ready for a trip to New Orleans and am just dreading it now. Sounded good at the time.

We’re not in Kansas anymore!!!!!

 

           When you think of Summer you think of certain things such as Cook-outs, Vacations, Baseball games and various other things. Well when I think of Summer not only do I think of that stuff but also Thunderstorms!!  When I was a kid I was scared to death of them, but now I am glued to the window when one hits.

     At the beginning of spring/summer I kept saying I want  thunderstorm(s) to hit my hometown (nothing to severe), and let me tell you, as of recent I have to say my love of them has dwindled into annoyance with the daily occurance of Thunderstorms.

   I have officially learned my lesson…”becareful what you wish for”.   You would think I would have learned this when I was at school at SUNY Oswego. I kept wishing for snow and it wouldn’t snow…finally about 2 days into the Spring semester it started to snow and didn’t stop!!  5feet of snow, a really bad case of cabin fever , 2 1/2 days later..I trecked out the student parking lot in hopes to find my car again all the while mumbling to myself…be careful what you wish for!

    Obviously I am not to blame for the millions of thunderstorms rolling through the area, but I have to say I feel slightly guilty wishing for them..haha and once again I learned my lesson!

Trying to be a doer instead of a quitter.

Paul rockis for kicking the nasty habit of smoking. Being an on and off smoker myself I envy his control and will power. Starting today (monday) June 23rd, I am going to be a “DOER”.

I am a terrible quitter, so instead I plan to busy myself doing things to keep my mind off smoking and my hands busy. So far today, I dropped off dry cleaning, shoes for repair, worked on some non-for profit stuff, rented a car online for an up-coming vacation, walked my dog, had a meeting, vistid a friend who is working on a new house she bought, made a ckicken salad and watched two bunnies that seem to really like my yard. Wheeewwww.

I’ll let you know how it’s going.

The farm life looks good today!

I say the farm life looks good today because technology is moving so fast it seems hard to keep up sometimes.

The amount of deleted emails with offers for free scipts and hot singles would fill a football stadium! Even if you don’t open them THEY KEEP COMING!!!!  The block sender pile of junk must be full and spilling over. But I am a sucker for gizmos…cell phone, i-pod, lap top, hot rollers! I LOVE them all!

I suppose the Amish have their share of issues, cows to milk, crops to sow and hoe, chickens to feed etc…..But something about feeding chckens seems relaxing.

I watched WAYYY too much “Little House” as a kid. But I don’t think I could really go for those high collars and long skirts. Give me a pair of jeans and boots any day, and the hot rollers!
